Description | I've been playing on this server for a few days, and this happens all the time. After fighting a mob, my character gets stuck in combat mode. This prevents me from regaining health at faster rate, changing equipment, or using travel via Flight master. It is very frustrating to have to Alt+F4 every time I find a piece of equipment, or want to do something. You will see in screenshots that I can't equip ring from my inventory, or log out. My portrait is not red, since I was not in combat. | ||||

Hi. Accidental "sticking" of the combat mode was repaired not so long ago. After that, I noticed two options where combat mode turns on and remains active. first, the character runs across the terrain and aggro the mob. if there are guards nearby or just friendly NPCs who are guarding the territory, they can engage in battle with this mob and over-aggro the mob on themselves. But the mechanics of the battle between NPCs is such that not always the enemy mob can finally be killed by friendly NPCs. The enemy mob has 1 HP left and the NPCs simply simulate the continuation of the battle. That is, the mob does not die, our character remains in its agrolist, and despite the significant distance from the battlefield, the character cannot leave the combat mode. The crossed swords icon remains on the character's icon, but changes color from red to gray. Actions - port to the city with a stone and make a relog there, or return to the mob and finish it off. Second, when using massive attacks, critters can be accidentally hit. And for some unknown reason, the damage is not enough to instantly kill a critter, at the same time, aggro from critters does not always fall off in a reasonable time. It was also noticed that the level of critters is scaled to the level of the character along with the entire location. And when the level is scaled, the amount of HP critter increases. It was also noticed that the attacked critters sometimes break loose and run away "beyond the horizon" along a chaotic trajectory, apparently returning to the respawn point. Naturally, if mass attacks or, rather, unaddressed area attacks are not applied in principle, this variant of the occurrence of a bug may not be considered. |

To check the current state of the combat mode, there is a special debug command in the plain chat .debug combat that displays the ID of the mob and its coordinates. You can create a macro with this command and put the button on the side panel for convenience. The screenshots with the command execution result are useful in finding the cause of the bug. I also remembered that on my hunter, pets too often aggro all the mobs in the area, increasing the chance of "sticking" the combat mode, for this reason I run as a hunter with the "lone wolf" talent, that is, without pets. |
